Distinguished speakers at the event included UN High-Level Climate Chief at COP29 Nigar Arpadarai, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev, World Bank Country Manager for Azerbaijan Stefanie Stallmeister, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev, Vice President of Siemens Energy Maxim Zubov, and Chairman of the Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan Abbas Ibrahimov, among others.

The week-long event is a confluence of political, financial, trade, investment, scientific, artistic, cultural, civil society, and media representatives, all converging to address pressing climate issues.

The initial half of Climate Action Week, stretching from September 30 to October 2, is devoted to dialogues involving government agencies, academic circles, and the private sector about viable climate solutions. The focus will then shift from October 3 to 4 towards the intersections of science, education, arts, and culture, ensuring a comprehensive approach to climate action.

The nation’s capital is buzzing with a myriad of activities as part of the Climate Week celebrations, turning Baku into the epicenter of environmental discussion and innovation.

With significant undertakings and diverse participation, each day of Climate Action Week adds momentum, preparing for a future where sustainable solutions drive economic and social progress.
