LONGi and BNZ Team Up for 336MW Solar Initiative in Southern Europe

LONGi and BNZ Sign Framework Agreement for 336MW of Solar Projects in Southern Europe

A landmark partnership has been established between LONGi and renowned independent power producer BNZ, forging a strong alliance to boost renewable energy capacity in Southern Europe. This agreement represents a pivotal moment in BNZ’s journey towards expanding its renewable energy footprint.

BNZ, operating under the Nuveen Infrastructure’s Europe Clean Energy Fund III—a prominent fund focused on renewable energy investments—targets achieving an impressive capacity of over 500MW by the end of this year across Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Notably, four projects in Spain and Italy, collectively contributing 130MW to this total, are already harnessing LONGi’s solar modules.

This partnership builds upon an already successful collaboration between the two companies. BNZ has opted to directly source solar modules from LONGi for its upcoming 2025 solar projects pipeline across Europe, amounting to a substantial 336MW.

Underpinning this ambitious endeavor, BNZ will acquire LONGi’s state-of-the-art Hi-MO 7 and Hi-MO 9 module series. These advanced products are poised to significantly enhance energy output, underscoring BNZ’s unwavering commitment to delivering sustainable and dependable solar energy solutions.

According to Daniel Sánchez, Director at BNZ, “We hold a steadfast belief in collaborating with strategic partners that align with our vision for a sustainable future. This agreement with LONGi signifies a monumental step towards delivering superior quality and efficient renewable energy solutions.”

Echoing this sentiment, BNZ MD Luis Selva stated, “Our dedication to driving the energy transition is mirrored in our collaboration with LONGi. This reflects our strategic vision of innovation and growth within the renewable energy sector. We eagerly anticipate leveraging our combined expertise to hasten the acceptance of clean energy technologies.”

Francois CUI, President of LONGi Europe, added, “This partnership signifies a new chapter in our strategic alliance with BNZ. Drawing on our long-term partnership, we are combining our strengths to foster innovation, spur market growth, and enhance our competitive advantage within the European market. We believe this collaboration will not only open new opportunities for both our businesses but will also serve as a benchmark for the industry. We look forward to further strengthening our collaboration with BNZ to create greater business value together.”

David Sanchez, LONGi’s General Manager for Spain and Portugal, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to have signed this agreement with BNZ, a key partner that recognizes the value of our innovative leadership. We are excited to witness our Hi-MO 7 and Hi-MO 9 modules play a pivotal role in BNZ’s future plans and deeply appreciate the trust that BNZ continues to place in us.”

As this collaboration takes shape, it marks a significant step forward in the broader context of the energy transition, highlighting the essential role that partnerships like this one can play in expanding the global adoption of renewable energy technologies.

With the continued commitment from both LONGi and BNZ to enhance renewable energy deployment, this agreement paves the way for significant growth in sustainable energy solutions across Southern Europe, setting an example for future collaborations in the sector.
