
Pakistan Prioritizes Climate-Friendly Maritime Policies

At a recent meeting held at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Minister Chaudhry engaged in a productive dialogue with Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change. The discussions centered on reinforcing collaboration between the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Climate Change Division, focusing on sustainability in maritime operations.
The leaders highlighted the importance of adopting green practices, emphasizing the preservation of coastal ecosystems alongside strategies for climate adaptation in ports and fisheries. Minister Chaudhry pointed out ongoing projects that promote a sustainable blue economy, including mangrove conservation and actions to combat marine pollution.
