Rising Temperatures Ahead: Mumbai Weather Update and Forecast Insights

Mumbai Weather Update: Rise In Temperatures Expected In Coming Days; Says IMD, Check Out More Details

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has signaled a forthcoming rise in temperatures across Maharashtra. Over recent days, a warm trend has been noted, supplanting the cold conditions that previously gripped numerous areas. The mercury has touched 36 degrees Celsius in several locations, notably in Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik.

As the cold spell recedes, and February pushes forward, the decline in winter chill is apparent throughout the region, inviting a preview of the warm weather ahead. Below we explore the current forecasts regarding temperatures, humidity, and other weather-related details.

Today’s Weather Outlook

The meteorological forecasts suggest that Mumbai’s minimum and maximum temperatures will hover around 25 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius, respectively. Humidity levels are expected to remain around 41 percent. The gentle breeze is predicted to flow from the Northeast at a speed of 16 km/h. Mumbaikars welcomed the sunrise at 7:10 AM and can anticipate the sunset at 6:36 PM.

In a cautionary statement, the Mumbai Regional Meteorological Department highlighted that the city’s temperature might reach 37 degrees in the days to come, potentially causing discomfort among residents. Such temperature spikes are anticipated in various urban regions including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar.

Weather Trends in the Coming Days

February often presents the last mild moments of winter in Mumbai as the city transitions to warmer days. By March, temperatures typically ascend further, with summer making an occasional early entrance by February’s conclusion. On February 5, the city already recorded a significant maximum temperature of 32.8 degrees Celsius.

The existing high humidity levels have compounded feelings of dampness, presenting an additional layer of discomfort as temperatures rise. Looking ahead to Monday, February 10, 2025, predictions indicate a predominantly sunny weather condition, with minimum temperatures around 23 degrees Celsius and highs potentially reaching up to 32 degrees Celsius.
